A space to learn, create, and connect.

Grateful Glassworks is a borosilicate glassblowing studio located in Chattanooga, Tennessee.

Founded by artist Blake Rolfe, the studio was created to make the art of flameworking more accessible to beginners, creatives, and the simply curious.

Through hands-on classes, live demonstrations, and a growing gallery of original work, Grateful Glassworks offers a space where people can connect with the craft, and each other in meaningful, approachable ways.

  • We recommend comfortable clothing made from natural materials. Please avoid anything too loose or dangling, and wear closed-toed shoes. Minimal jewelry is also advised.

  • If you need vision correction, contacts are preferred. If you wear glasses, try to wear small, lightweight frames—you’ll be wearing safety glasses over them during class.

  • All tools and materials are provided. You’re welcome to bring a bottle of water or small snack. There are also restaurants nearby, and we have a microwave and fridge if you bring your own food.

  • We use borosilicate glass (C.O.E. 33), which is ideal for flameworking and beginner projects.

  • Participants must be at least 16 years old. Anyone under 18 will need a parent or guardian to sign a release form.

  • The studio is a ventilated space, so temperatures can vary based on the weather outside. It will be warmer in summer and cooler in winter—please dress accordingly.
